Visiting Nicol and Kendry

Monday July 18 

This was the day that I visited Nicol and Kendry and I was very excited!  A friend and fellow sponsor, Susan, met Nicol and Kendry,  when she visited a couple of years ago. Nicol is very sweet in her letters and she likes math, singing, baseball, and dolls. She usually writes about enjoying school and visiting her dad who lives in another city.   Nicol has two siblings, Amaury and Nalleli.  . Nalleli, her sister, is also in the same grade, although she is two years younger.

Kendry is 7 and he is the youngest of my Children International children. Kendry likes art, dancing, and baseball and he has a brother and a sister, Juan and Milagros. Milagros sometimes writes Kendry's letters for him when his parents don't. The children from the DR  usually start writing around age 9. This was the case for Nicol and another child named Yesy that I use to sponsor.


I left around 9:30 to travel to Nicol's home which is about an hour away. She lives in Boca Chica. We  planned  to meet Kendry at his home at 11:00.The plan was  to eat lunch at 12:00 and then go shopping and visit the arcades! :)
